Paratransit Needs

Recognizing the challenges faced by wheelchair users when seeking non-emergency medical transportation outside their homes, we provide a specialized door-thru-door service. Our dedicated drivers assist clients from their residences to our paratransit van, ensuring a smooth transition to their clinic visits. Prioritizing the correct check-in process, we place significant emphasis on recurring appointments, including Chemotherapy, PT, OT sessions, infusion, and Dialysis. For these critical visits, we ensure prompt pick-up times and a 20-minute turnaround on return rides, with preset return schedules for added convenience.

Wedding & Funerals

He went above and beyond the call of duty. We had several family members along for this medical appt as well. Tom not only got us to and from the appt, he helped us get our wheelchair bound brother into Dr. visits, helped us get him into the hotel room and helped us transfer into bed, and various other transfers. We will definitely use him in the future. If u want a worry free experience, hire Freedom Wheels and definitely ask for Tom.

Words can’t convey the magnitude of my gratefulness & appreciation for the established competence, trust, reliability and efficacy provided to me solely due to Freedom Wheels!! Tom,Tina,Miguel & Kathy @ FREEDOM WHEELS have CONSISTENTLY provided me with SAFE transportation for all my father’s Dr. appointments. Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way on my 1st NEMT(non emergency medical transport) when I called for this essential assistance on 09/13/24. UNFORTUNATELY it was the farthest thing from Safe. It was a traumatic experience for me due to my VALID concerns re: my father falling. I only had myself to help him up out of his chair, navigating down the interior & exterior stairs & then getting him into my truck; due to his recent broken hip. He can barely walk 2-3 steps w/his walker & he CANNOT navigate our stairs safely!! Due to the insurance restrictions/stipulations imposed upon my 1st transport fiasco (I was informed via a translator on the drivers phone) that they would not assist me in any way!!  Alone, I moved my 6’3”, 230 lb.father by dragging him across the floor on a folded towel, down the stairs on his butt one rung at a time (in the pouring rain)& lastly managed to get under his right arm w/ my shoulder & miraculously got him safely into the truck. The “driver” stepped aside due to my harsh instructions & thankfully we arrived @ the Dr. a bit late however no new injuries were sustained!!  The completely UNNECESSARY/AVOIDABLE  mental anguish that I suffered is the reason I’m writing this!! Please don’t put yourself in this position, go to the correct source by calling FREEDOM WHEELS!! After
many effortlessness endeavors w/ FREEDOM WHEELS, I will NEVER accept any other transportation. After the debacle with my first transport, I informed my insurance company not to dispatch anyone but FreedomWheels or they will be losing several clients!!  This is a completely avoidable situation by
simply calling the right person for the right job,FREEDOM WHEELS!! Please don’t be afraid to use your voice & if you are not heard, talk louder!! Respectfully, Leigh Anne Crowell
